ATTRACTIONS
There are many reasons to consider Medellin a great tourist destination. Some of them are the amazing museums, Natural exhibitions, the many parks of the city, the different activities that take place in the city, among others.

The most relevant attractions in Medellin are:


-Lleras Park:
Located in el poblado with a great offer of restaurants, bars and clubs. The number one place in town for entertainment.
-Santa Fe de Antioquia: Colonial town located 1 hour norh of Medellin. The entire town is a historical site; the architecture that has survived for centuries, gives Santa Fe de Antioquia the aspect of a city "suspended" in the colonial era, which is the reason why the city was declared National monument and cultural heritage.

-Journalist Square (Parque del Periodista)

-Belen Library/Park

-The Explora Park (Parque Explora: Architectonic master piece of the city built as a space dedicated to public knowledge, science and technology*

-Barefoot Park (Parque de los Pies Descalzos):
Public space created as an oasis inside the city where visitors have the choice of walking barefooted and enjoy the cultural and pedagogic activities and events of great social impact. 

-Plaza Mayor Convention and Exhibition Center: One of the most modern facilities for international and national events, conventions and expositions.

-Cisneros plaza Park of the light (Plaza de Cisneros parque de la luz):
A kind of artificial forest with a wide space for massive gatherings. Located in front of the city hall and government center.*

-Coltejer Building: It is the tallest building in Medellin. Its name comes from one of the biggest companies in Colombia called Coltejer, an important textile company. Its construction was finished in 1972 and since it has been a city icon. It is located in downtown Medellin and you can see it from almost everywhere in the valley.

-Pueblito Paisa (typical town):
Replica of a colonial town from Antioquia located on the nutibara hill with typical restaurants and stores.

-Museum of Antioquia/ Plaza Fernando Botero:
One of the most important museums of Colombia and the most important in Medellin. It was the second museum founded in the country in 1881 and today it  

-La Veracruz church: National heritage site built in 1803. Located in downtown Medellin.

-Park of the Wishes (Parque de los Deseos): Public space of the city created to relate the universe with the people*
-EPM Interactive Museum    

-San Pedro Cemetery Museum:
Considered an integral part of the architectural and cultural heritage of the city*

-Nutibara Hill: Small Mountain located in the middle of the city offering a great panoramic view of the city. 

-Carabobo Pedestrian Walkway 

-Our Lady Of La Candelaria Basilica: Colonial neo-classical Religious Catholic temple and the first church in Medellin. Built in 1649 and currently a national monument of Colombia and world heritage site.
