During the last decade Medellin has become a main destination for national and international tourism. The city can meet the demands of any traveler. Most of the tourism in Medellin is associated with business, as well as congresses and a variety of national and international events. Medellin is world famous for its health services. It is a leader in plastic surgery, organ transplant and important and innovative health treatments.
Medellin has developed rapidly during the last decade with the construction of skyscrapers, hotels and schools.

The people from Medellin are known as “paisas” which comes from the coffee growers. The term Paisa comes from the word Paisano(fellow countrymen).

Coffee is an essential part of the paisa culture because Antioquia is a major grower in Colombia. Colombian coffee is world famous thanks to its wonderful taste, texture and high quality.

Medellin is going through an infrastructural and social transformation making the city a safe and attractive destination in Colombia and in South America.
Medellin is the second largest city in Colombia. It is surrounded by mountains nestled within the Aburrá Valley in the northern Andes region. The city is also known as “Ciudad de la eterna primavera” or “The City of Eternal Spring” because its average annual temperature is 22 °C (72 °F) and it is constant year round.
