EVENTS
Nowadays the city is one of the most entrepreneurial and dynamic cities in South America. Its economy is strong and diverse which has enable it to establish itself as a major industrial, financial and commercial center.


Medellin provides the best public service infrastructure of the country and modern scenarios for all sorts of events.

Paisas are very traditional and deeply rooted to their cultural background, which is shown in the many activities that take place in the city. The most representative fair in Medellin is the Annual flower festival (feria de las flores), which has as principal attraction, the Silletero Parade (desfile de silleteros) that’s unique in the world and every year draws thousands of tourists. The flower fair lasts for two weeks between July and August and it offers various activities for everyone throughout the city like one of the largest Antique Auto Show Parades in the world, The Flower Fair Horse Parade (Cabalgata Feria de las Flores) which by the way has a world record because of the number of horses, The Orchid, Bird and Flower Exhibition, Well known artists and singers presentations on set up stages and scenarios through the neighborhoods and many other activities.

Another major event that has become an icon of the city is the Christmas Light Display. It takes place during the months of December and January when the city lights up with the most beautiful and colorful creations that are shown along the Medellin River, The Nutibara Hill, La playa street in downtown Medellin and the neighboring cities of Envigado and Sabaneta.
